Maternity sessions are best captured when you are between 30-32 weeks along. My maternity sessions are limited each month to give clients one on one attention. You can schedule your session anytime. However, I recommend booking around your 20 week doctor check-up to secure your spot on my calendar.

A tentative date will be scheduled around your due date when you book. Then when baby arrives, you will contact me and we can adjust the date & time for the session, if needed. Newborn sessions are scheduled when your baby is 7-21 days old. However, if your baby is a bit older, we can still capture beautiful images.

I recommend booking milestone sessions a few months in advance to ensure availability, especially if you’re planning for a specific milestone like a cake smash.

why do newborn sessions last so long?

why do newborn sessions last so long?

Newborn sessions can be between 2-4 hours in length. My work flow is based on your baby's needs. Some babies need an extra break to feed or need a little extra time settling into a pose. Your baby's safety is my number one priority during the session. I never rush and I take my time to make sure your baby is comfortable, content and safe during the entire session.

will you touch up images?

will you touch up images?

Absolutely!  I personally hand-edit each of your final images before presenting them to you at your reveal and ordering appointment.  During this process, I carefully remove or lighten any skin blemishes, tame flyaway hairs, and address any distracting details like clothing tags or lint.

What do i wear?

What do i wear?

I highly recommend choosing neutral earth tone colors that are in the same color palette. For a timeless look, white, cream, tan and brown tones are perfect. For shirts and dresses, solid colors are better than busy patterns. Select shirts that do not have logos on the front as they can be distracting. For pants, I recommend choosing a pair that has little to no distressing. Don't forget to accessorize and layers are great to add texture to your images.

I have plenty of patience and experience working with babies and children. We’ll take breaks as needed and follow their cues to ensure a stress-free experience.
