Little Miss Paisley was such a doll during her newborn session! Look at that beautiful dark hair. She was the perfect model. Mom and Dad followed my prep guide and she slept the entire time. We captured so many different set ups, it was difficult to choose favorites!

Look at her smile and little toes! Studio prop poses are one of the sets included in my newborn session. Paisley loved to be swaddled in my soft blankets so much that she started smiling in her sleep. Mom and Dad gave me full control over which props to use during the session. This was the first time I have used the cream set up in a basket. I love how simplistic it photographed and put Paisley as the focus. It will definitely be one of my go to stylized sets!

One of my favorite parts of a newborn session is the parent shots. The connection between Mom and Dad with their new baby is something I love capturing. Can’t you just feel the love in these images!

When a baby arrives at the studio with hair like Paisley’s, I just had to use my brown backdrop to pose her on. At first, she was not a fan of the chin on hands pose. However, I helped make her more comfortable, she said OK and let me capture these images. I can’t get enough of the little arm roll! It is too adorable! The headbands fit perfectly and show off her hair like they were made just for her.

It is all in the details! Look at those little fingers, squishy rolls and tiny toes! Babies grow so fast, it is important to capture every little detail before it’s gone. This is Mom and Dad’s first baby (and grandchild) of the family, so we made sure to put all the details in an album to be cherished for generations to come.

My sessions end with mugshots and they never disappoint. Mugshots are when you wake the baby and see what you can capture. Sometimes they cry or they are content and we get images with their eyes open. Paisley was definitely angry with me for unwrapping her from her warm swaddle. However, they made for some great memories!
