Newborn photography sessions are a unique experience that goes beyond simply taking pictures. They are an opportunity to freeze time and capture the innocence, fragility, and purity of a newborn.
When I talked with the Garcia Family, I could hear the excitement they had adding another baby to their family of three. Their first little one was just turning two and was not able to do a newborn session at the time when he was a newborn. Since this was their first newborn session, I knew I had to capture a very special bond between them all.
Baby Girl Avery was so sweet during her session. She loved to be wrapped up tight to stay warm and cozy. She had the most adorable back rolls I have ever seen! I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t excited to photograph them. Adding the touch of a lovey bear during her prop poses, is a must to show just how little they really are at this stage.
I always recommend family and sibling images for my newborn sessions. They are included in the session, and at the reveal wall, if you do not like them, you don’t invest in them. However, at least you have the option to choose them. I love creating connection between the parents and their new baby. Snuggles and kisses are the best way to show the instant bond between them.
Mr. Kason, AKA big brother, was so proud of his baby sister. However, he loved to be on the go, so I had to be quick and keep his attention. This is not uncommon for a two year old! My tricks worked, and we were able to capture family and a very special bonding image, with Dad’s help!
