Capturing moments with twin newborns is an absolute delight! It involves not just cuddling and arranging one baby, but the joy of working with two little ones simultaneously. Witnessing the unique personalities of each baby emerge during the session is truly heartwarming. Although it demands extra effort to pose and comfort both babies simultaneously, I approach it with a well-thought-out plan. I take my time to ensure each baby feels secure and at ease while gently posing them together.

Introducing Alex and Noah, the adorable twins born to first-time parents without any family history of twins. Needless to say, the news of expecting twins came as a surprise to them. Noah, the more laid-back sleeper of the duo, allowed me to swaddle and pose him with minimal fuss, letting out only a few little sounds. On the other hand, Alex was the curious one, not wanting to miss a moment. Intrigued by my studio light, he squirmed a bit before settling down. Once swaddled, he fell right to sleep and joined Noah. It’s remarkable how a snug swaddle has the magical ability to coax many babies into a peaceful sleep.

In twin photography sessions, my initial step is always to swaddle the babies. The top wrap serves as a versatile element, allowing me to create a range of setups. I make sure to capture moments of both twins together and then individually for each arrangement. Look at that big smile Alex gave me while dreaming away!

After I captured 3 setups of the boys swaddled, it was time for the family portion. These two first time parents were amazing. In my studio, they leaned on each other for guidance, exchanging advice and sharing light-hearted moments as they navigated the journey of figuring it all out.

At last, the moment arrived to unwrap the boys for their final images. This particular pose is exceptionally sweet and happens to be one of my favorites. Instantly, Mom was drawn to this image during their reveal wall appointment. I find it challenging to decide what I love more – the tender hand-holding, the cozy snuggles, or those adorable little toes.

Mugshots are always fun and a clients favorite! Getting those awake images while making funny faces and letting their personalities shine. These images are best in a group of 3, 6 or 9 to make a collage.
